How many of you have said those words before ("Now where did I put that paper?") when you’re looking for something that you took out of your church mailbox?  Whether it’s you, your spouse, or your children who picked up your mail, if it’s anything like my house, papers sometimes have “mysterious” ways of disappearing.

I am hoping that many of you had a “mysterious” disappearance of the paper I recently placed in your church mailboxes.  As seen in the picture above, this is the paper in which I put a plea out for you to help in some facet with our youth (grade 7 through grade 12).  Thank you to those who have already turned them in, but of the six hundred seventy (670) that were placed in your mailboxes, I have only had twenty-five (25) returned so far.  I hate to sound greedy, but I am looking for a lot more than that.  Even if you are currently helping with the youth, or if you have helped in the past, please take the time to fill one out, so that I have it in my records as to what you are willing and able to do.

Our youth are such a vital part of the church here at Five Forks.  They need to know that we will love and support them unconditionally.  I believe many of you can do this by getting involved and building relationships with them.  Yes, I know we’re all busy, but let’s not get too busy to serve the Lord.  Why not consider serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by working with our youth in some capacity?

I invite and encourage you to volunteer in any area, but I am specifically looking for more of you who are willing to teach, team teach, or be trained to teach.  We have many visions and plans that I believe God has set before us, but in order to see them carried out, we need more of you to give of your time and talents that God has blessed you with.

If you did happen to “misplace” your paper, there are more on the Information Table in the foyer or you can see Pastor Todd and I will see that you get one.  Please don’t underestimate how God can use you.  If you will humble yourself and just make yourself available, it is amazing what God can do through you.
