Audio/Visual Tape Ministry
Our Audio/Visual Committee makes copies (CD, VHS, DVD) of the services available to those who request them. Request forms are located in the foyer. You can borrow the tapes and return them or you can purchase them for a small fee.
Missions and Outreach Ministries
We support missions through prayer and financial assistance. We have people who go out on short-term missions trips as well as having full time missionaries called out from our congregation. We support many local Christian ministries including the MCC Meat Canning Project, MCC health kits, Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, Waynesboro Human Services.
Vacation Bible School
Our VBS is held two weeks during the summer. Children from the church and surrounding communities choose which week they will attend. It is held in the evening starting at 7pm. Bible lessons, Bible memory verses, fun songs, skits, crafts, snacks. The first week of VBS in 2006 will be the week of July 17-21. Week two will be July 24-28.
Church Bazaar and Auction
Our Annual Church Bazaar and Auction is held every year in October. All proceeds go to our Building Fund for future expansion. Food stands, chicken barbeque, baked goods, craft vendors, yard sale, children's activities. The Auction includes many homemade items, quilts, gift certificates and items from local businesses.
Food Pantry/Clothes Closet
Our Food Pantry and Clothes Closet are open several times throughout each week in order to help those who are in need.
The Food Pantry is open every Monday from 1pm until 3pm...Wednesdays from 4pm until 6pm...Saturday mornings from 10am until noon. One order of groceries is provided per household once a month. Identification in the form of an electric bill and a photo I.D. is needed.
The Clothes Closet is open every Monday from 10am until Noon...Saturdays from 1pm until 3pm. We provide up to 25 items of clothing per household twice a month. Identification in the form of an electric bill and photo I.D. is needed.
Parish Nurse Ministry
The goal of this ministry is to provide education and prevention when it comes to health related issues. They provide monthly blood pressure checks on selected Sunday mornings.
