Singles in the Spirit is an interdenominational Christian singles group intended for Support, Encouragement, and Fellowship.
We are sponsored by Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church. Although we do not discourage dating, this is not a dating service. Above all, we want Christ to be at the center of all our gatherings, as well as having a great time!
Our Purpose:
To provide a safe, fun-filled environment for all ages singles - Never married, Divorced, Single.

Saturday, July 11th, 6:30 p.m. – Singing in the Barn 2778 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg, PA. The Beane Family will be there in concert. If you wish to come early for dinner met us at 5:00 p.m. A donation will be taken for the dinner and the concert. If you want to sit with the group let us know you will be attending.
Saturday, July 18th, 4:30 p.m. –Ice Cream Social at St. Thomas Lutheran Church 7061 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas. There will be sandwiches, shanty beans, deserts, homemade ice cream made by the Williamson Ruritan, and more available. Please let a leader know that you will be attending. Proceeds will go toward the youth gathering in New Orleans.
Saturday, July 25th, 3:00 p.m. - Picnic and Pool Party at Ann’s home, 7698 Robinson Road, Mercersburg, PA. We will eat around 5:00 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. We ask everyone to bring a dish to share. There will be a variety of games for everyone to enjoy. Please bring your lawn chair. Let a leader know you will be attending by July 22nd. Directions Headed west on 16 from Greencastle, turn left at Mercersburg square (Seminary St.), take next left onto Park St. (Presbyterian church on your left, will then pass in front of Mercersburg Elementary school.) Follow Park St. out of town, heading south, pass Lion's club park on left, then you will see Dale's Tire and Auto on right. Take next right onto Mt. Pleasant. Follow Mt. Pleasant to end, turn left at split. (It turns into Charlestown Rd., mountain will be on your right.) Turn right onto Robinson Rd. to 2nd house on left, #7698. It is a white rancher with blue shutters, pool in back. Park anywhere, plenty of driveway!
August 2009
Saturday, August 1st, 4:00 p.m. –Join us for a Luau Party at Michelle’s home, 3570 Mercersburg Road, Mercersburg, PA. Ham will be provided. We ask that each person bring a dish to share. We will eat at 5:00 p.m. Come dressed in your Hawaiian outfit and you might win a prize. There will be games available along with a pool if you want to swim. Please bring your lawn chair. Please let a leader know you will be attending by July 29th.
Saturday, August 15th, 12:00 p.m. – Join us for a Picnic at Caledonia. Park in the first lot within the park, not out by the road. We will have tables by the stream, before you enter over the bridge to the pool. We will eat at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish to share. Please let a leader know you will be attending by August 13th.
Deanna and Michelle will be on a cruise from August 20th – 28th.
September 2009
Saturday, September 5th, 4:00 p.m. –Fun Castle 3054 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle, PA. Come play a round of miniature golf and then ride the go-carts. We will go eat afterwards for anyone who is interested.
Friday, September 18th, 6:30 p.m. – Volleyball and game night at St. Thomas Lutheran Church 7061 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, PA. We will eat at 6:30 p.m., volleyball and table games at 7:15 p.m. We ask that each person bring a dish to share. There will be a 10 minute devotional time during the break between volleyball games for anyone who would like to participate.
