Do You Like Green Eggs and Ham?
Hi there! Do you like green eggs and ham? This was the question asked by the infamous character Sam I Am in the Dr. Seuss classic, "Green Eggs and Ham." You probably know the story. Throughout the book Sam does his best to coerce another to try green eggs and ham. His friend wants absolutely nothing to do with green eggs and ham, whether in the rain or on a train, etc. and states emphatically that he does not like green eggs and ham! Finally, and after much coercion, he gives green eggs and ham a try and lo and behold, ends up liking them!
You know, this story reminds me of those who have yet to experience the risen Christ, and yet state emphatically that this Christ-thing is not for them. Did you know that like those green eggs and ham, the Bible actually says to "Taste and see that the Lord is good?" (Psalm 34:8). That means that Christianity is not religion and rules to be studied, but a person and peace to be experienced.
