Small Group Update


Both groups are meeting Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM. Eric & Sherri‘s group is studing “Balancing Life‘s Demands” by Chip Ingram. Richard‘s group is studying “A Prodigal God” by Tim Keller.

Small Group Picnic & Project


On Wednesday, April 25 both small groups will have a picnic together at the church and assemble school packs and prayer braceleat as a service project. Come prepared to share what you like about small groups or what you learned this year.

Church Work Day


A church work day will be held on Saturday, April 28 beginning at 8AM. There will be projects and cleaning, both inside and out

Community Yard Sale


Our Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, June 2 (rain date of June 9).

Mission Project


We will take a trip to the GAiN Headquarters in Mt. Joy on Saturday, June 23 to prepare goods for shipping overseas. Projects include a food program, seed program, hygiene kits, school kits and clothes distribution.

Church Retreat


The date has been set for next year‘s church retreat. It will be held on September 14-16 at Camp Susque. If you have any ideas for a topic or speaker, please talk with Pastor Eric.

About the Pastor

Eric & Sherri moved to Williamsport from southern PA in 1988 to open a Garden Center and began attending Montoursville BIC. Eric helped with teaching and preaching as needed in the years that he owned Eagle Mountain Garden Center. When Eagle Mountain closed in 1998, and we were without a pastor, Eric was asked to fill in as pulpit supply. That experience and the call of God on his life, led Eric to accept the position of part-time pastor of Montoursville BIC in April 1999. After further study and the completion of his doctrinal questionnaire, Eric was officially licensed in 2000. He continues his studies toward ordination.

Eric enjoys preaching and teaching and talking with people of all ages. He is a people person. He has a strong vision for the growth of our church and desires for others to get excited about what God is doing in the lives of His people. Eric enjoys hunting and the great outdoors and is an avid NASCAR fan.

Sherri works full time for Trinity Episcopal Church as Parish Administrator. She assists Eric in his role as pastor in many ways. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, photography and going to the beach.

Yvonne is a senior at Houghton College in Houghton, NY majoring in Inclusive Childhood Education. She has a talent for attracting and entertaining children and she likes organizing things, listening to music, watching NASCAR, and hunting with her dad.

Garrett is a junior at Houghton College with a double major in Physics and Computer Science. He plays enjoys reading (especially Sci-Fi) and spends most of his free time computer programming.
