Knowing Jesus

One of our greatest joys is sharing with others the Good News that Jesus loves them. We are people who have experienced God’s saving grace.

We have acknowledged our sinful condition and hopeless state before a holy God and have placed our faith in the person of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We are people who have embraced the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to join us on our journey with God, it is easy to get started. And once you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus, we have resources to help you grow in your relationship with Him.

Hello, I am Bob Verno, pastor of Mount Pleasant BIC Church. Thank you for visiting our website.  We are excited as Mount Pleasant ventures into a new phase of her ongoing journey.

Established in the year 1900, Mount Pleasant is a Brethren in Christ church with a rising passion to minister to folks in our area and guide them to and in a joyful, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

At Mount Pleasant people are accepted for who and what they are. Worship services are celebrational and exuberant with a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs. Messages are Bible-based, positive, and practical in nature. A dynamic youth program summons teens to a life of Christian discipleship and presents a variety of opportunities for friendship, growth, and service in Christ. Mission trips are a very important part of what we do. Adults are likewise encouraged to grow together spiritually and to serve in ways that accord with their gifts and that make a difference in the lives of others.

As a congregation of Jesus Christ, we stand ready to receive, love, and minister to all whom the Holy Spirit leads us to or brings our way. Won’t you come and worship with us!
