A log bench, crafted by a local youth, was recently donated to Birchdale Church and installed on the front lawn near the flag pole.

On Saturday June 7th Ken Briggs, with an an eclectic knowledge of scientific discoveries in fields such as archaeology, astronomy, genetics, chemistry, physics, engineering, psychology, biblical history and other scientific areas led a seminar entitled "The Truth and Science." The seminar focused on the known facts around Genesis texts. It tied the bible and science together from pre-history to the Patriarchs. There was also opportunity to get references and tips on how you can gain further knowledge by yourself.
Those who attended are requesting more seminars in the near future.
