Carland-Zion has a variety of ministries to meet the spiritual needs of you and your family. We're constantly adding more, so be sure to check back often to see what's happening!
Worship - Opportunities abound for those with the gift of worship to share their gifts with us. Whether it's singing with the Praise and Worship team, playing an instrument, sharing special music, preaching the Word, or serving as an usher - we'll help you grow in your gift!
Music - At Carland-Zion, we believe in making a joyful noise! We offer adult and children's choir - which alternate in presenting Christmas and Easter musicals - the opportunity to sing in special groups and the chance to provide special music. If you like to sing, Carland-Zion is the church for you! Our services feature a blend of traditional hymns, and contemporary choruses - including many of the songs heard on Christian radio today.
Children's Ministries - Carland-Zion cares about your kids! We offer a staffed nursery ministry for children ages 0-4. The nursery program runs during the entire Sunday morning service. We also offer Sunday School classes for ages 5-12. These hour-long classes are dismissed partway through the Sunday morning service.
On the third Wednesday of each month, the Carland-Zion Kid's Club meets at 7:00pm for ages 4-10. The God Squad Youth Group also meets at 7:00 on the third Wednesday for ages 11-18.

"Abraham" Prayer Ministry - This ministry oversees the prayer needs of the church. Carland-Zion is a house of prayer, and opportunities to grow in this gift abound! Our prayer ministry offers individual and corporate prayer, as well as coordination of our telephone and online prayer chains. For more information, email Stephanie Decker at czprayer@verizon.net
"Barnabas" Encouragement Ministry - The Barnabas Ministry coordinates the church's card, visit, and encouragement ministries. Barnabas ministers send out more than 1,500 cards every year! In addition, they visit those who have been hospitalized or are not able to get out very often to share words of hope and affirmation.
"Timothy" Discipleship Ministry - The Timothy Ministry oversees all of the discipleship, Christian education and small group Bible study ministries of the church. You will never have a hard time finding a way to grow your faith at Carland-Zion! Current discipleship opportunities include:
"Andrew" Outreach Ministry - This group evangelizes the community using practical outreach tools such as the Jesus Video project. For more information, contact Pastor Stanton at czbic@juno.com.
Celebrate Recovery - Celebrate Recovery is a Christian 8-step program to help overcome habits, hangups, and addictions. This group meets at the Salvation Army in Owosso on Friday evenings at 7:00pm.
Senior to Senior - This group of older adults meets on the third Thursday of each month for a Bible study and time of fellowship. Contact the church for more information.
