Publications and Activities
Brethren in Christ History and Life: a journal begun in 1978 and now published three times a year (April, August, December). The journal carries major articles on the past and present life of the Brethren in Christ. Articles range widely in subject matter--biographies, institutions, doctrines, missions, current issues, music, and reviews of books and visual media.
Books: occasional publications relating to the Brethren in Christ Church, sometimes in cooperation with other agencies. Such books include a history of the Brethren in Christ in Canada, the story of the Dayton Mission in Ohio, the Brethren in Christ ministry, biographies of John and Nellie Hostetter and C.R. and Lista Heisey, a collection of biographies of Brethren in Christ women, and a collection of biographies of Canadian Brethren in Christ. Annual Meetings: held usually around mid-year, at a variety of places, and with a variety of themes. Every other year the annual meeting is held at General Conference.
Heritage Service: occurs in the afternoon of the first Sunday in June at the historic Ringgold Meeting House in Maryland.
Grants: available in limited amounts for research on articles or books published by the Historical Society.
Cassette Audio Tapes: of Henry Ginder's stories, Old Order River Brethren singing, and denominational singing groups.
