young, middle-aged and older generations, and lots of children!
Our service is characterized by singing, prayer, scripture reading,

 Rachel and Pastor George A Message From The Eshcol BIC ChurchHello there. Thanks for taking the time to visit the chuch's web page. The Eshcol BIC Church is in a beautiful valley in Perry County, PA in a little town called Eshcol, along Route 849. Other than a church, Eshcol is a small residential town with about 25 homes. The people (about 40-50 in average attendance) at the church are friendly and want to serve the Lord. Rev. Bergey started the church on Dec. 8, 1996 in an old Lutheran church building that hadn't been used for most of the last 30 years. The people who attend have an excitement for outreach to the community and welcome new people into fellowship quickly. They are an exciting group to work with. We hope you visit our church when you come to the area...it is about 25 miles north of Carlisle. March 3, 2002, Pastor George and Rachel Kibler were installed as Eshcol BIC Church's new pastor and wife. Pastor George and Rachel were born in Lancaster County. Both acknowledged their need of a Savior at the early ages of 9 and 5 respectively. During high school they both recognized God's call on them to go to Africa as missionaries. Both attended Messiah College to prepare them for their mission. Pastor George and Rachel met while attending Messiah College and were married after graduating in 1957. Both Pastor George and Rachel served with the Brethren In Christ World Mission Board for a total of 16 1/2 years in many capacities. Pastor George served at Messiah Village Retirement Community in Mechanicsburg, PA as the President for 22 years while Rachel obtained training as a Biblical Councelor at Westminister Seminary near Philadelphia. She also served as staff counselor at the Cedar Grove BIC Church. Pastor George and Rachel have four children and two grandchildren. They retired to East Waterford, PA where they currently reside. Retired! Well Pastor George and Rachel took the charge at the Eshcol BIC Church where they are very much at home with the congregation. We are all so glad that retirement doesn't mean what it implies. Welcome Pastor George and Rachel to our small community church as our spiritual leaders!
