NEWS 2003

May 2, 2002, The Eshcol BIC Church started Midweek Prayer and Praise Services. They are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Many attend the services on a regular basis now. Please put a note on your calander to join us. Everyone is welcome to attend.

YOUTH GROUP

The Youth Group, headed up by Rob and Bonnie Derr, made a visit to a local nursing home to put on a skit for the elderly. Everyone had a great time! The youth group benefited from this as much as the elderly and they plan to do more programming in the future. Young people, if you don't have a church home and would like to get involved with our young peoples' group, feel free to contact Rob and Bonnie. They would be more than happy to talk with you. CHURCH GROWTH

Well, here we are beginning a new year. 2003 has just begun. We now have a deacon and deaconess. Vernon and Edith Burkholder graciously accepted and are doing a fine job. The couple have been instrumental in the growth and stability of the church since it first began. Congradulations to the Burkholders and many thanks for being so faithful to the community and the church. The church is not only growing in numbers, but spiritually as well. We have come a long way with the church repairs and making the church a cosmetically pleasant place to worship, But formost and presently our desire is to make our church a place where God is continually present and where His Spirit moves freely among us. Our desire is that visitors will feel God's anointing power when they walk in and when they go out that they would say, "It was good to be in the house of the Lord!"
