Office Administrator

Pat Linn came to serve as the office administrator in January of 2003 after retiring from teaching in June of 2002. She taught at Red Land High School for 30.5 years in the Business Department. Pat’s education started in the one-room Redland Schoolhouse. Her respect for Mrs. Laird, her teacher for six years, was an important influence in Pat’s decision to become a teacher.

Pat attended Moores Church as one of the children of Elmer and Alice Altland. She was saved at the age of seven in Vacation Bible School at Moores. Pat married Ernest Linn, a son of Melvin and Evelyn Linn, another family at Moores Church. When the congregation moved to its present location, Ernest and Pat were living in Mississippi, Arizona, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Bermuda, and Shippensburg when Ernest was in the Air Force and working with Control Data Corporation. During that time they also had their family of three daughters, Patty Ann, Amy Beth, and Laurie Jane. When the family moved back to the area in 1972, the young Linn family returned to their home church, which is now Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church.

I am very blessed with my husband, three daughters and their husbands, seven grandchildren, and my church family here at Redland where I have learned to put my confidence in Jesus. Although I have failed Him, He has never failed me. He has patiently taught me how to have peace in my heart and joy in my spirit.

Scriptures with special meaning to me:

Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Ephesians 5:33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. This verse became important to me after reading Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. Ephesians 5:33 is the basis of this inspiring, insightful book.

Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
